Pascal and I learned today that the wife of one of our supporting pastors passed away this past Monday. We were at their church back in May, and had so enjoyed meeting her. She was a very kind and encouraging lady. A few weeks ago, the wife of my dad's pastor growing up passed away, and it was less than a year ago that our pastor's wife in Louisville passed away. Three beautiful ladies that graced our lives and the lives of many others are now with the Lord. We thank God for the pastors' wives that do so much to help their husbands in the ministry, and who encourage those around them.
Pascal and I have been blessed to have known many wonderful women of God who have served and continue to serve along with their husbands in the ministry. We simply wanted to pause for a moment and thank God for these ladies. We rejoice that these three particular women are now in heaven with their Lord and Savior Jesus-Christ. They have run the race and stayed true to the course, now they are enjoying the everlasting bliss of being with Jesus. We hope you will take a moment to thank your pastor's wife this week for who she is and what she means to you.
"All the way my Savior leads me;
What have I to ask beside?
Can I doubt His tender mercy,
Who through life has been my Guide?
Heav’nly peace, divinest comfort,
Here by faith in Him to dwell!
For I know, whate’er befall me,
Jesus doeth all things well;
For I know, whate’er befall me,
Jesus doeth all things well.
All the way my Savior leads me,
Cheers each winding path I tread;
Gives me grace for every trial,
Feeds me with the living Bread.
Though my weary steps may falter,
And my soul athirst may be,
Gushing from the Rock before me,
Lo! A spring of joy I see;
Gushing from the Rock before me,
Lo! A spring of joy I see.
All the way my Savior leads me
O the fullness of His love!
Perfect rest to me is promised
In my Father’s house above.
When my spirit, clothed immortal,
Wings its flight to realms of day
This my song through endless ages—
Jesus led me all the way;
This my song through endless ages—
Jesus led me all the way."
