Mauritius and Adoniram Judson...

Some of you may be wondering about the title of this blog... and some of you may be wondering who on earth Adoniram Judson is. Well, Adoniram Judson is one of the very first Americans to go and serve overseas as a missionary. He and his wife Anne arrived in India in June of 1812, but were ordered out in September of 1812 by the government. Judson and his wife spent four months in Mauritius at this time (formerly known as Isle of France). They were there from January 17, 1813 to May 7, 1813. Judson went on to Burma afterwards, and served as a missionary there for about 40 years. He helped establish several Baptist churches. Anyhow, Pascal and I thought that this was pretty cool!
